Meow! I’m Maxine, but you can call me Maxi. My name means “greatest.” I wish. If I were “the greatest,” would I be here instead of the new cats who live in my home? My person got remarried, and the new guy has cats too. Those cats and I did not get along. I was so scared of them! I first came to Paws and Claws a few years ago from another rescue. Before that, I had been around other cats, dogs, and children. I was adopted in early 2024. I was happy until now. I’m a beautiful, 4-year-old girl with a fluffy coat. Don’t worry about my shyness – I’ll get over it once I warm up to you. I’m quite a warm, affectionate kitty. I like being brushed, and I like playing with toys. I do not enjoy being picked up, however. I like seafood-flavored cat food. I hope someone who meets me will think I am wonderful.
