Meet Miss Mellow! She is an eight month old Black Mouth Cur/Basenji mix, and she weighs about 40 lbs. Full disclosure, her name doesn't actually fit her personality. Mellow is a very happy pup that has an enthusiasm for life! She loves wrestling and playing chase with other dogs, and exploring the backyard with nose to the ground. She has unique markings with a black stripe running down her back to the end of her tail. She is one of four puppies that were abandoned on the side of the road in a locked carrier, in the heat of last July! The four puppies survived (thanks to a caring person who took them to a vet for life saving treatment). Be sure to check out the photo of all four pups when they first arrived, and weighed about 6 lbs. Two of those puppies have been adopted, but Mellow is still waiting, and so is her brother Buttons. Mellow is housetrained, walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. She may be a little too rambunctious for very young kids, but she should be fine with kids over the age of 6.
