Hi, I'm Ernest! 🐾 I'm a 2 year old, male, 30-35 pound poodle mix -- maybe even a little golden doodle in there -- with a soft coat and an even softer heart. I'm still settling into foster life, but I'm doing really well and learning more every day! I'm getting the hang of going potty outside like a good boy. I'm pretty consistent, though I still have an occasional marking accident indoors while I'm figuring everything out. With a little patience and routine, I know I'll have it mastered in no time. When my foster family isn't home or when it's bedtime, I go into my crate. I'll admit... I'm a little hesitant about it, but I do it, and I'm getting more comfortable each day. I'm trying my best! My favorite thing? Cuddling on the couch. I absolutely love curling up next to my people to watch TV, soak up scratches, and enjoy lots of pets. Once I feel safe, I'm a total snuggle bug. I can be a little shy when meeting new people or if someone comes into the room or moves too quickly. It just takes me a minute to feel comfortable. But with a calm environment and gentle reassurance, I warm up and show what a sweet, loving boy I truly am. Right now, I'd probably do best in a home with adults or maybe teenage kids who understand that I need a little patience as I continue to build my confidence.
