Peanut is an incredibly sweet, scruffy little guy who hasn't had the greatest life. He's 4 years old, 10-11#, and we think he's a mix of Terrier and possibly Poodle. Peanut's favorite thing is to be by your side, and he's the most affectionate snuggler! Peanut is a lower/moderate energy guy, and likes being with people who are calmer and more relaxed. If you're busy, he'll quietly amuse himself with his favorite stuffed platypus, or enjoy a cozy nap in the sun. Peanut likes exploring in the fenced yard, but comes back to his person pretty quickly in hopes of a belly rub or a good snuggle! He's brushing up on house- and crate-training and doing well, and starting to learn about leash walks now; so he does require a physical fenced yard. He is a very respectful house guest, and appreciates the safety and comforts of a loving home. Peanut craves connection and stability--and once he's found his safe place with people he loves, he doesn't want to share them with any other pets. Peanut's ideal person or family will have a consistent, stable routine to help him feel safe; and they'll allow him time to relax into their life and home. He's looking for a loving adult family with dog experience, who can continue to help him grow and feel safe; and a family where someone is home more often than not would be perfect for him (a stay-at-home parent or a work from home situation). Peanut is sweet and gentle, and loves sharing a cozy blanket, couch or bed with his humans. He's happiest when spending quiet time with the people he loves most! Peanut is so excited to have a family of his very own-- he's an amazing companion with so much love to share.
