Meet #DoubleStuff DoubleStuff was recently brought to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project Animal Complex in Warren, Ohio after his owner suffered a devastating house fire and was no longer able to care for him. Situations like this are heartbreaking for everyone involved , especially for the dogs who suddenly lose the only home they’ve ever known. Right now, DoubleStuff is a little confused and unsure in the noisy shelter environment, but our volunteers are already seeing what a wonderful little dog she truly is. Here’s what we know about her so far: Around 3 years old About 20 pounds — the perfect little size Walks beautifully on a leash House trained Quiet and gentle Has lived with other dogs and cats Good with respectful children Volunteers who have spent time with her say she is very affectionate and loves being petted and loved on. Once she’s out of the kennel and away from all the noise, you can really see her sweet personality start to shine. The shelter can be overwhelming for a little girl like this. What she really needs is a calm home, a soft place to land, and someone willing to give her the love and patience she deserves while she settles in. Even fostering could make a huge difference for her and help open a spot for another dog in need.
