Meet #Merlin This sweet boy is Merlin, and unfortunately his story started the way too many do… he was found as a stray and no one ever came looking for him. No calls, no posts, no one asking if their puppy had been found. Now Merlin is safe with us at The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, and we are hoping his stay here is very short. Our shelter is beyond full. Merlin is under a year old and already about 40 pounds, so he will likely grow into a nice medium-to-large sized boy. Right now he’s still very much a puppy — curious, learning about the world, and ready to soak up all the love and guidance a family can give him. This stage of his life is so important for training, socialization, and bonding, and we would love to see him start that journey in a home instead of a kennel. Just look at that sweet little face… it’s hard not to fall in love with him. So far Merlin doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, but as always a dog meet is required to make sure everyone gets along. At this time he has not been cat tested. Merlin will be available for adoption after he completes his vetting, but we would absolutely love to start getting applications in for him now so he can move into a home as soon as he’s ready.
