Meet Violet. Violet is a 4 year old (5 in Oct.) Maltese. She spent her first 4 years being used for breeding, and was recently released to Tiny Paws to start her new life. My dogs are showing her the ropes, and she is adjusting to life indoors very well. She uses a potty pad, if needed, but has been very good about going outside with the other dogs. Only has accidents, overnight. But still on the pad (or at least mostly). The first night home, she stayed in one spot, near the door, on the cold, hard floor. The second night, I took her to bed with me, and now she stays there most of the time. She learned quickly, a soft bed is way better than the floor. I believe she would do best with adults only. She may be okay with older kids, but loud noises and quick movements make her nervous. She’s learning that hands are meant for pets, not pain, and she loves it when you scratch her head behind her ears. Violet will require a fenced yard, and someone who is patient enough to allow her to blossom. I believe she would do best with another dog in the home, to help teach her how to be a normal dog. (Not a mill dog) She’s come a long way in just a few days, and I think she will settle into her new life just fine. She’s very sweet. Located in Union Grove, WI with Heather nanashome71@gmail.com
