Meet Nacho, an 8-week-old Chihuahua mix puppy with a huge personality packed into a very tiny body. Weighing just about 3 pounds right now, Nacho may be small, but he’s full of heart, curiosity, and playful energy. One minute he’s zooming around the room like a tiny speedster, and the next he’s ready to curl up and soak up all the love and attention he can get. Nacho came to our rescue along with his two siblings after an accidental litter. Both of the parents are Chihuahua mixes who take strongly after the Chihuahua side. Their family wanted to make sure the puppies were safely placed into loving homes, so they entrusted the litter to our rescue while the parents remain with their family. While we work on finding these little gremlins their forever homes, we are also helping the family get mom and dad spayed and neutered so this doesn’t happen again in the future. Nacho and his siblings do not need to be adopted together, but there are several tiny tails from this litter all hoping to find families of their own. Like any young puppy, Nacho is still learning about the world. Potty training is a work in progress. He has started learning to use his wee pads, but accidents are still expected as he continues to grow and learn his routine. With patience and consistency, he will continue to make great progress. Because Nacho is extremely tiny and delicate, we are specifically looking for adult-only homes where he will be handled gently and safely. Small puppies require careful handling, and we want to make sure he grows up in an environment where his size and safety are always a priority. Nacho has been vet checked, microchipped, dewormed, and is up to date on his core vaccines. Now all he needs is a loving home where he can grow, play, and become someone’s tiny best friend.
