She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys calm strolls, though like any strong dog, she can put some power behind her steps if something really grabs her attention. She’ll thrive with someone who can comfortably handle her size and strength. Sunny is house trained, takes treats gently , and absolutely adores anything snack‑related. With her loving temperament and easygoing personality, we think she’d be wonderful in a home with kids. Approximate Birth Date - Size - Large (68lbs) House Training - Sunny is fully house trained! Other dogs - Sunny has not been dog tested yet but did come in with Cher and they get along famously. We will update with the dog testing information as soon as possible! Kids - We think Sunny would be lovely with kid! Cats - Sunny is very chill and we think with slow introductions, she'd do okay with cats. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
