Meet Luke, a 3-month-old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) with a big personality packed into a tiny body! This resilient little guy was found roaming the streets during a snowstorm down south, and despite his rough start, he’s proven to be a happy, playful pup who’s ready to find a loving forever home. Luke is full of curiosity and energy. He loves to play and especially enjoys spending time with his foster brother and the resident dogs in his home. Having a canine friend around would likely make him very happy, as he thrives on companionship and playtime. Like many young pups, Luke can be a little nervous in new situations. If he feels unsure, he might bark or give a small growl to communicate that he needs a moment—but he is not aggressive, just learning that the world is a safe place. Luke is currently working on his potty training and making great progress. He’s also a devoted little shadow who loves following his foster mom from room to room to see what’s going on. He’s mastered going upstairs, but going downstairs is still a bit scary for him—he’s working on building that confidence! He enjoys short walks on his leash and is learning more about the world every day. With patience, love, and continued training, Luke will blossom into an amazing companion.
