At just 10 months old, Grayson has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. He was rescued from a hoarding situation with over 60 other animals, and while his start in life was far from ideal, you would never miss the beautiful heart he carries. It takes Grayson a little time to warm up — and understandably so. New people and new environments can feel overwhelming at first. But once he feels safe, he transforms into one of the most incredibly loving dogs you will ever meet. He is amazing with the kids in his foster home as well. Grayson’s heart is gentle, sweet, and overflowing with friendship. He wants to be best friends with every dog, cat, and human he meets — in that exact order. He absolutely thrives around other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one confident canine companion. He’s a follower, not a leader, and he finds so much comfort in having a buddy to show him the world is safe. He is a world-class snuggler who melts into his person once he trusts you. Grayson “talks” in the softest, most endearing ways — little content whimpers when he’s cozy, and the sweetest howl when he’s hoping for your attention. Because of his past, Grayson will need a patient and gentle family who understands that trust takes time. He can be easily startled and is still learning that people can be consistently kind and safe. But for someone willing to give him that grace and patience, the reward is immeasurable.
