Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Duke! After months of running scared on the streets, Duke was given a fresh start with the help of caring friends at Rhodie’s. Though his former owners never returned, he's blossomed beautifully in his foster home and is now ready for a loving family. Duke is a 1-2 year old small terrier mix, weighing around 15 pounds, with a soft red/chestnut coat. At first, he can be shy, but once you get to know him, his happy, playful nature shines—he's even known for his adorable smile. Duke absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry playmate. Playtime with dog friends and relaxing on the couch are his favorite activities. He’s also cat friendly, making him a great companion for multi-pet homes. Duke is housetrained, sleeps quietly in his kennel, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash (he prefers a harness, as collars feel uncomfortable to him). He does get nervous with car rides and around vehicles due to his past, so a peaceful, patient home without young children would allow him to feel safest and happiest. Duke comes fully vetted, with vaccinations, neuter, microchip, and preventive care already provided. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
