Miller came to us as an owner surrender after he kept leaving the property where he lived. Because he didn’t have much socialization before coming here, a lot of everyday things—like walking on a leash and being around new people—were completely new to him. Since arriving at the shelter, Miller has been making wonderful progress. With time, care, and encouragement, he has learned how to walk on a leash and is becoming more comfortable with the people around him. Watching him slowly gain confidence has been incredibly rewarding. Miller will need a patient adopter who understands that he’s still learning about the world. He may need a little extra guidance and reassurance, but with consistency, love, and time, Miller is going to blossom into the most loyal and wonderful companion.
