Meet you local lizard hunter, Max! This smart boy learns quickly and loves to stay active, whether its going for a run, playing fetch, or hunting for lizards, he's always ready for the next adventure. But beneath that playful energy is a sweet heart just waiting for a family to love. He's looking for an active home where he can keep learning, exploring, and finally learn what true love feels like. Notes from cold weather foster: Max has been the most wonderful foster. He is a HUGE lover boy, he loves himself some cuddles and will do his darndest to nuzzle his way into every nook and cranny of you and the couch. He is on constant alert and very curious. He loves puzzles, his kong is one of his favorites and when I broke out the slow feeder he seems to enjoy that as well. He is very treat motivated and intelligent. He responds well to obedience training but will need someone who can stay on top of said training. He loves walks and all the new smells, and is working on perfecting his leash manners. He loves to be right by your side. All together, he is loyal, eager to please, and all around a wonderful dog. I think he would make a wonderful companion, but best suited with someone with experience handling dogs.
