About Racoon
Meet Racoon! Such a silly name for an adorable little dog, so her foster mom calls her Sassy. Racoon was found as a stray in Newburgh all matted and just skin and bones. The Humane Officer contacted CARE to see if they could help her and she was quickly taken into foster care. Racoon's foster mom reports that little Racoon slept for a week and then woke up and ate until her heart's delight. She is now healthy and ready for adoption. Racoon is not a snuggly type dog that wants to spend the day on your lap. She is happy hanging out in her plush dog bed or skipping around the house hoping for a treat from her foster mom. She lives with two other small dogs and coexists peacefully unless someone wants her food. She is paper trained and will also go outside if the weather ever improves! She loves to go for walks and will almost race down the road on leash. She prefers to sleep in her own bed and has yet to make a peep. She is an older girl who deserves to spend her senior years in peace and comfort.
