Meet Timber - The Sweetest Soul You'll Ever Meet! Timber is an approximately 3-year-old male Golden Retriever mix, and we were told he is a Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix - which explains his handsome looks and his big, loving personality. This big lovable guy weighs about 78 pounds and is full of nothing but sweetness. Timber came to us from a shelter in Kentucky where he sadly spent over a year waiting for someone to choose him. A whole year went by and this sweet boy never found a home. The shelter was very full, so we stepped in to help by bringing Timber into our rescue to give him the second chance he truly deserved - and we are so incredibly glad we did. From the moment he arrived, Timber showed us what a wonderful, gentle boy he is. He has such a loving personality and just wants to be close to his people. If you're standing nearby, Timber will quietly sit next to you and lean his whole body against you like he's giving you the sweetest hug. It's his special way of saying, "I love you." Timber gets along great with other dogs, is good with people and kids, and has been a joy to have around. He is potty trained and does pretty well on a leash. He can pull a little when he gets excited, but he's already improving and just needs someone willing to keep working with him. Because Timber is a bigger, active boy and can jump, he must either be kept on a leash or have a securely fenced yard. If the home has a fenced yard, it will need to be a 6-foot fence, as he can clear smaller fences. Timber is up to date on all of his vaccinations and is scheduled to be neutered and microchipped at Auglaize Animal Hospital in Wapakoneta, which will be fully covered by the rescue. After spending so long in a shelter, Timber deserves a family who will finally show him what it means to be loved, safe, and home forever. He has so much love to give and will make an incredibly loyal companion.
