About Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh is a large, FIV-positive tuxedo cat with a striking presence and a gentle spirit. After a tough life outside, he's transformed from street survivor to affectionate companion, now cherishing his indoor comforts. Gilgamesh tends to become territorial with other large males, but he does get along with friendly female cats or petite males, making him a candidate for single-cat homes or as a companion to smaller cats. His tiny, chirpy voice and tendency to drape himself over your feet make him hard to resist. He loves attention, especially brushing sessions and treats (chicken is his weakness), but overall he is low maintenance and quite independent. Most of his canines have been removed, a badge from his years as a tomcat, but it doesn’t slow him down. Gilgamesh is confident, laid back, gentle, and robustly healthy despite his FIV status. He adjusts best with patience and kindness, needing time to settle into a new environment. Indoor life is essential for him. He’s never lived with dogs or children, but he enjoys feline company under the right circumstances. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate presence (and a warm lap companion), Gilgamesh is ready to steal your heart. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
