Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - Wayside recommends bringing your children 9 years old and younger out to meet me before adoption to make sure they enjoy my enthusiasm for life! Hi there, I’m Bunny! I’m such a great dog! I’m sweet and sassy, and I’m friendly, curious, and just a bit goofy at times, in the very best way. I love life! And while I may be a senior, I truly believe that age is just a number. I’m an active gal, with plenty of life to live and love to give. I want to bring joy and silliness to your life. I want to see you smile when I do my tippy toe dance, prancing in place with a smile on my face. I’m an easy dog to fall in love with, and you’ll find that I get more beautiful with each passing day that we spend together. I’m ready to get started with that! I’m ready to be your dog. I’m an adorable, 10-year-old, 57-pound bundle of love Lab mix, with gentle brown eyes, a slightly crooked face filled with character, and a happy, delightful personality. I’m even already fully housebroken. I came to Wayside as a stray. Life was tough out there all on my own, so I was thrilled to finally be safe and cared for. I got the vet care that I needed, including having a tumor removed. I’m feeling great now, but it will be important for me to get regular vet checkups going forward, to help keep me feeling my best. Meanwhile, I’ve been lucky to get to spend my time in a loving foster home as I wait for you to find me. Ah, life couldn’t be better! I settled right in and made myself at home from the moment I walked through the door of my foster home. I’m quick to snuggle or to give kisses, comfortable at Foster Mom’s feet, by her side, or even resting my head in her lap when possible. I haven’t had any accidents at all. I don’t particularly like the rain though, so Foster Mom takes me out with an umbrella to keep me happy. I love that she spoils me! I also don’t like to stay in a crate, but there is no need for that anyway, because I have perfect house manners. I don’t bother a thing, even when no one is watching. I’m happy to find a soft, comfy place to nap when you’re gone or busy with other stuff. In foster, I relax in the bedroom when no one is home, while the resident cat has access to the rest of the house. And I get to sleep in the bedroom at night, where I like to cuddle but I’m fine on my own, too. The luxury of a soft bed is something I’ll never take for granted. I love everyone I meet, politely greeting visitors without jumping up or barking, while patiently waiting for a pet. I also love playing with my toys, especially my pink stuffed pig, which I carry around with me in the cutest way. I’m partial to the color pink, choosing pink balls to play fetch with too. My favorite time of the day is when Foster Mom and I go for a daily morning walk together. I bark in excitement when she gets out the leash! She lets me sniff all the great smells of the neighborhood and gently greet people or other dogs who are interested in meeting me along the way. Sometimes I pull on my leash when I catch a great scent, but I’m mostly easy to control. I also like to lounge in the backyard on nice days, soaking up the sun or exploring a bit. Foster Mom tells me to sit and stay when she opens up the door to the outside, so that I don’t sneak out. Please keep an eye on me to help me stay safe! I will need to always be on a leash/lead or in a securely fenced area when I’m outdoors. I’m an adaptable gal, and I should do well with other pets or as your one and only. With other dogs I met at Wayside, it took me a little extra time, but once I got comfortable, I was playful, bouncy, and vocal. If you have other dogs, I will need to meet them before we go home together, to make sure that we’re a great match. I’d love to meet any kids under the age of 10 as well. I currently live with a cat in foster, something that is all new to me. I’m curious and excited around her, but not aggressive. We coexist together, but she is unsure of me, so Foster Mom keeps a close eye on our interactions. Mostly, I’m looking for a home with kind and caring people who like to spend time with me and who will enjoy discovering my fun and entertaining little quirks and mannerisms. I love to make you laugh! I’m a low maintenance and calm friend who is always ready to accept and give love. And I’m also a joyful, spirited companion who will bring energy, smiles, and a whole lot of heart to your life. I dream of having a home and family of my own to love and care for. Let me be there for you whenever you need a friend. That’s my specialty. Love, Bunny
