Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Marky. Marky is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Marky! Marky is a 6 month old (as of 3/6/2026) male black lab. Marky is fully vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered prior to adoption. Marky currently weighs 35 pounds, but we do anticipate that he has some more growing to do due to his age. We anticipate he'll grow to be a medium-large sized pup. Marky ended up on the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter down in Houston, TX. He only ended up on the list due to overcrowding and lack of space. Thankfully, a foster stepped up and we were able to get him to safety! Marky is dog friendly and currently lives with multiple dogs of all ages and sizes in his current foster home. He's super sweet and loves running around the yard and playing with his doggie foster siblings. He will also happily curl up on the couch for snuggles with his foster parents. Marky is also cat friendly and currently lives with cats in his foster home. He doesn't pay any attention to them. Marky is kid friendly! While he doesn't live with kids, he does get lots of interaction with young children and is always so gentle and sweet towards them. He will even let them walk him on leash and is always so well behaved for them. Marky walks great on a leash and will stay calmly by your side. He is also fully potty and crate trained. He currently goes into the crate during the day while his foster mom is away from the home for work or errands. Here's a small blurb about Marky from his foster mom: Marky is so sweet, playful, gentle and smart! He's great with the grand babies and friendly with everyone he meets! He truly doesn't know what the word stranger means because he loves everyone and wants to be everyone's friend! He likes to cuddle, but can also be independent and entertain himself if needed. He would make for a great adventure buddy since he's perfect on leash. Any loving family will be so lucky to have Marky join their lives!
