About Chico
Chico is a 10-pound male Chihuahua mix with a talent for loving his person deeply and absolutely. When he arrived at the rescue, he struggled with his weight and could barely handle stairs or play, but his foster family got him on track. Chico now conquers steps, chases toys, and delights in daily walks, revealing a playful spark under his once-sluggish exterior. He’s happiest as someone’s shadow—loyal, observant, never far from your side, and ready to greet you with zoomies each homecoming. His favorite spot is the couch, where he’ll snooze contentedly right next to you. True to his Chihuahua side, Chico can be standoffish with strangers and isn’t one for cats—he needs a feline-free home. He does well with other dogs, though, and has learned his potty routine, rarely having accidents as long as schedules stay consistent. Chico doesn’t need a yard but should always be on-leash outside—he’s clever and quick. He’ll tolerate short stints in a crate, but truly thrives in homes where his person is around often. Chico would be perfect for someone seeking constant company and will reward his human with genuine devotion once he chooses you. Chico is neutered, vaccinated, and just had a dental. He’s about 12 years old—with his birthday making him a spirited Sagittarius. All vetting is up-to-date for a year, and he’s microchipped.
