Not all angels have wings—some have whiskers and paws. Angelica is a 4-year-old brown tabby with a lot of energy and a strong sense of her own space. She arrived at Paws and Claws from another rescue and was described as sometimes having erratic bursts of energy, plus a tendency to avoid people and set her own boundaries. She isn’t a fan of being handled or touched, but didn’t hesitate to step out of her kennel when she first arrived, even if she was tense. Since settling in, Angelica has allowed gentle pets through the kennel bars and shows interest in toys. She’s had little exposure to other animals before coming to the rescue. What she needs most is a quiet home with someone willing to give her the time and space to settle at her own pace.
