About Kai
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Aloha! You’re about to meet Kai, a striking and lovable 7-year-old medium-haired orange tabby and white gentleman from Paws and Claws Humane Society. After arriving with his brother Koda in April, Kai has shown he prefers quiet time over socializing—he’s not one to mingle with other adult cats, except his brother (and even that’s on his terms!). Kai is the picture of relaxation, happily alternating between eating and napping, just like a real-life Garfield. His playful food obsession means he’ll creatively seek out snacks if not safely stored away. Kai does have special medical needs, so please connect with an adoption counselor to learn how you can support his health and well-being. Inspired by his Hawaiian name, which means “sea,” Kai hopes his next home will be his peaceful shore. Plus, if you are an astrology fan, being born on January 3 makes Kai a Capricorn—Capricorns are known for their loyalty and calm nature! They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
