About Ben
Ben is a large, striking Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing around 90 pounds and just over a year old. He came in without much socialization and is only beginning to realize that people can be safe and patient. Ben is shy at first and needs time, steadiness, and confidence from whoever adopts him. He’s still figuring out the basics, including leash walking, so an adopter with large-dog experience or a serious commitment to continued training is essential. The upside: Ben responds to gentle guidance and is eager to learn. He gets along with other dogs and might do especially well with a calm, confident canine friend. Cats and children aren’t a fit for him right now. Ben will do best with someone who understands guardian breeds and enjoys outdoor time. Over time, with structure and routine, he has the potential to be a loyal outdoor companion who also knows how to wind down indoors. Ben has been evaluated by a trainer and shows great promise for the right adopter. He comes neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated—ready for someone dedicated who can give him a chance to blossom. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
