About Tyson

Tyson is a goofy, lovable guy who quickly wins people over with his gentle nature and resilience. At around a year old, this medium-sized, short-coated pit bull/lab mix has weathered tough circumstances—found tied to a railroad track with a damaging injury to his hind leg. His Achilles tendon had to be removed, but he’s bounced back quickly and just needs a supportive hock brace, which his foster is handling. Tyson interacts well with cats, small dogs, and large dogs; he’s amiable with just about any companion and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.  He’s housebroken as long as he can get outside and already walks beautifully on a leash. Tyson relishes car rides and thrives in homes with children—it’s not unusual to find him flopped on the floor with the kids crawling around and sharing cuddles. He’s happiest with another dog to romp with and loves outdoor adventures. If you’re an active family who enjoys camping or beach trips, Tyson will be ready right beside you. He’s scheduled to be neutered, and his vaccinations are up to date. Starting a new chapter with Tyson means a loyal, playful companion for life. Give them the home they have been waiting for.
