Emmie is a beautiful one-year-old tabby with a soft, expressive face and a coat patterned in lovely swirls and stripes of warm browns and grays. Recently spayed and fully vetted through the NAWS program after being found as a stray, this sweet girl has blossomed in foster care. She has bright, curious eyes and a graceful way about her, whether she’s perched nearby watching the room or confidently hopping into your lap to settle in. Emmie especially loves neck and chin scratches, leaning into gentle affection with a content, trusting charm that shows just how far she’s come. Emmie is incredibly lovable and enjoys spending quality time with her people. She’ll happily jump into your lap on her own and make herself comfortable, soaking up attention. She has a playful side, too—fishing wand toys and little springs skittering across the floor are her absolute favorites. Because she can become overstimulated with too much petting and may switch into playful “kitten mode,” she would do best with older children or adults who have prior cat experience and understand feline cues. She may also thrive with another young, playful cat, though she’ll need slow, thoughtful introductions.
