About Trooper
š¾ Meet Trooper! š¾ Trooper is a special, 4-year-old boy who is ready for his next chapter in life. Cat condos? He can't wait to test it out and have a good climb. Bird watching? Total master of feather observations. Catnip bananas? No match for him. And brushing, he sure does love his brushing sessions! Trooper is affectionately described as a mellow, sociable and down right adorable bundle of pure cuteness who is eager for love and attention. He's excited when he's with you and will even come when called, happily knowing he is safe and secure. We don't know what the outdoor life held for Trooper, but we know he's had a rough go and we've promised him nothing but the best. He is resilient, wearing his FelV and FIV+ status with pride and determination to show that his past is not reflective of his future, which he hopes will be filled with endless love, food bowls that are never empty, snacks because he's the best boy in the world, and soft spots to lay his head for all his 10 lives. Trooper is now accepting adoption applications, available below š¤ FELV is a virus that affects cats. It can not be passed onto humans or dogs. Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/ Please Note: If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives: Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
