About Hermes

Hermes is a young shepherd mix rescued from Kosovo just in time. His siblings Zeta and Champ have already settled into their new lives in the US, and now it’s Hermes’ turn to find that same warmth. He’s naturally shy but has a gentle heart and is slowly gaining confidence every day. With all the changes he’s faced, Hermes still shows a willingness to trust—he just needs someone willing to give him time. A social pup at heart, Hermes would do best in a home with another friendly dog to help him keep building his courage and adjust to a new routine. He’s not house trained yet, but with patience and consistency he’ll get there. Hermes is currently in the Chicago suburbs, but he can be brought to an approved adopter anywhere at no extra cost.
