This HANDSOME shepherd mix weighs in at around 70 pounds and is about 1.5 years old, but he’s truly just a big puppy at heart! His playful, goofy energy perfectly matches his size, and his happy spirit is impossible to resist! Red knows no strangers — he absolutely loves all people (big and small) and all dogs (big and small… even tiny puppies!)! He’s EXTREMELY social and would be a perfect fit for a dog-friendly community or an active family who enjoys getting out and about. He would also ADORE a furry sibling to play with! As Red loves other dogs so much, he is non-reactive toward other dogs on walks and is great on leash, walking calmly while stopping to sniff all the good smells! Additionally, this sweet boy is 100% potty trained, has no destructive behaviors, and does great when left out of his crate alone — even for long days! He rides well in the car, doesn’t dig holes in the ground, doesn’t show any food, water, or toy aggression towards people or other dogs, and has no behavioral issues! He’s truly just a happy, loving guy who wants to be part of your world! Red is very affectionate and super snuggly and tends to lay on his foster dad's chest at night- (he still thinks he's a tiny puppy lol)! He loves giving hugs and being close to his humans and knows “sit” and “paw”! While he can get a little jumpy when excited, with some simple manners training and redirection, this big guy will be absolutely perfect! Because of his sweet, docile nature and easygoing personality, Red would be great for first-time dog owners — he comes with just enough training needs to make him fun and rewarding without being overwhelming!
