🐶 Basics ● Kodi ● 2 yrs, 55 lbs ● Rescued in Texas 💛 Personality Snapshot ● Fun, gentle, responsive and loves to cuddle and play with dogs and humans ● Energy level :Moderate ● More people‑oriented or independent? - Loves to be around people, but also independent. He will lie outside in the sun then come play ● How do they handle new situations? - So far great! I took him under the elevated trains and he was a bit startled by the noise and vibrations, but wasn’t scared. He’s used to it already. 🐕 Social & Home Life ● How are they with people (adults/kids/new people)? - Loves them all. Gentle and sweet. ● How are they with other dogs? - Really great. Zero issues with resource guarding. He has no good aggression issues. He loves to play chase and tug of war. ● Cats or other animals (if known)? Not known ● Behavior when left alone or when guests visit: He just relaxes alone. No separation anxiety when I leave him. No guests visited yet but I have no worries about that. 🎓 Training & Manners ● Potty trained? Y ● Crate trained? (I think so - he didn’t need to be crated) ● Leash skills: Quite good, though he could use a little more training on pulling. In 2 days it’s already vastly improved. ● Commands known (if any): Sit, stay and shake. Though not perfect yet. Very responsive to ‘stop’ as well if he gets too excited. 🌞 Daily Life ● Typical day with you: Wake up, feed him, take a walk right away. Then several more walks through the day. ● Exercise needs: Moderate it seems. ● Favorite activities or toys: tug of war, playing with my dog, and he likes harder chew toys (rather than plush) 🌱 Growth Areas ● Anything they’re still working on? The only thing he needs to fix is when he’s in play mode, he will gently use his mouth. Which I’m teaching to stop. He just doesn’t know not to do that yet. It’s not aggressive. ● What helps them succeed? - Calm, repetitive commands. 🏡 Ideal Home ● Only dog / With dog / Either: either ● Good fit for apartment living? yes! ● Best type of household (active, moderate, calm): Moderate i think but he’s very adaptable so far. ● What kind of adopter would be the best match? Someone who wants an easy, sweet mid size dog that loves to play, but also cuddle up on the bed or couch if you ask him to come up. 💙 Foster Note He’s just so sweet. A truly great companion for anyone. He could use a bit more training with recall, but in 2 days he’s improved a lot, so the adopter might want to work on that.
