About Scooby Doo

Meet Scooby Doo, a big-hearted yet overlooked young dog who’s more than ready for a real home. Scooby came from the Associated Humane Societies – Forked River shelter, where staff and volunteers championed him every day. He’s sharp, energetic, and bursting with potential. Around a year and a half old and about 50 lbs, Scooby shows a drive to learn and a strong desire to connect—he responds beautifully to praise and a consistent routine. He can do well with other dogs when introduced slowly and prefers respectful play. Scooby isn’t suited to homes with cats. His energy makes him a better fit for households with adults or older children who can keep up and help channel his enthusiasm into long walks, playful runs, and structured activities. One of his favorite things is bonding closely—he adores his 14-year-old foster brother—and he craves more of those close family moments, from curling up on the couch to getting his belly rubbed. Scooby is affectionate, clever, and truly wants to please. He deserves a family that will see all he has to offer and help him blossom. He’s waiting in Cresco, PA for the right person to finally let him shine. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
