My name is Haley. I have a deep, urgent plea to share. I was brought to the West Memphis Animal Shelter after being picked up for running at large. I do have a microchip — which felt lucky at first. My owner was contacted, but he had moved out of state and left me with a family member. Animal Control has called again and again, but no one has come for me. It’s official. I’ve been abandoned. I’m about 8 years old. I have severe heartworms and need immediate medical treatment. I cannot begin that treatment here at the shelter — I need a home or a committed long-term foster willing to care for me while I go through it. Every day, people walk past my kennel to look at the younger dogs. I don’t blame them... but I’m still here. Still hoping. Still wagging when someone looks my way. The shelter is extremely overcrowded. My time is very limited — possibly only 10–14 days. They need my space, but Kerry wanted to give me one last chance to plead my case to friends, family, followers, and fans. I may not be young, but I am worthy. I may be sick, but I am treatable.
