About No Name Yet
A kindly gentleman found this little girl. Afraid she could be hit by a car, and certain there must be someone looking for her, he scooped her up and made sure she made it safely to the animal shelter. At the shelter she settled in, but she definitely prefers to be with people to being in the safety of a cage. She loves being in the office, and especially loves all the treats she gets while she explores. Given the chance, she'll be up on your lap in a blink. This little girl is interesting. Checking all the photos of long hair or wirehair Dachshunds we're not sure if she's a wirehair, or if she's a Dachshund mixed with a wirehair terrier or maybe even mixed with a Yorkie. Hmmm, is she a Dachshund or a designer dog? We're thinking the long body with short legs is similar to a dachshund, and the fur is more terrier. There are long hair doxies, and wire coat doxies..... hummm, maybe she's that kind of mix. We'll keep guessing, because she's not talking. In any event, she's a real sweetheart. More info will be posted shortly, but in the meantime, if you would like more information just give us a call - 973-736-8689. Or better yet, speak with a West Orange Animal Control officer. They can answer any questions regarding this little lady. West Orange Animal Control can be reached at 973-325-4121. And.... If you would like to meet her (the dog we mean), the animal control facility (311 Watchung Avenue, West Orange) is open Monday through Friday 4:30PM to 5:30PM. The Animal Control officer can also make an appointment to meet you at the shelter earlier in the day. .........
