About Louie

Start your journey together! Apply now. Louie is the ultimate easygoing companion and a true “Easy Lover,” as his foster dad affectionately calls him. He's a fairly low-key large Terrier mix, happiest when lounging beside his favorite person, whether you're catching up on TV or focused on work. Louie’s loyalty is heartwarming—he’ll quietly follow you from room to room, hopeful for a treat or a good belly rub, but mostly just to be by your side. At approximately 6–7 years old and weighing in at 60 lbs, Louie is in good health and manages slight hearing impairment with a positive attitude, even enjoying deep, undisturbed naps. He's had a mast cell tumor removed in the past but has been thriving ever since. While his front teeth aren't perfect, his hearty appetite remains unstoppable! Louie is crate and house trained, and while he may bark or whine briefly when first left alone, he settles quickly and can manage being solo for 5–7 hours. He does best as the only animal in the home and gets along well with older children (ages 10+). He enjoys gentle walks but may react to other dogs in the neighborhood, mostly out of inexperience, not aggression. Louie’s forever home will cherish his gentle spirit, pamper him with affection, and understand his need to be an only pet. If you’re looking for a cuddly, loving companion who’s just as happy relaxing as he is sharing snacks, Louie is ready to meet you. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
