Fern is an older girl that found her way to our shelter after her home was condemned. She was LOADED with fleas, and had become so anemic that she was dangerously close to needing a blood transfusion. Luckily, with an iron supplement and other supportive care Fern is a sassy old curmudgeon (and after all that she's been through, who can blame her!) that is picky about who she likes and is really just looking for a relaxing home with someone that is happy just having a cat around. No kids or rambunctious dogs would be best. She enjoys attention on her terms, but aside from not being super snuggly, Fern is really no trouble to have around. As long as she has food, a bed, and a window to look out of, she's a happy camper. She lived with another cat previously, and tolerates the other cats here just fine as long as they don't bother her. We can't change who Fern is, but just because she isn't purrfect doesn't mean she shouldn't get a furever home, too!
