Having recovered from earlier health issues, she’s now ready for her forever family.
About Elanore
Elanore, also known as Ellie, is a 14-year-old Chiweenie with a frosty face and gentle brown eyes. She’s come a long way since losing her original family and working through tough health problems like heartworm and dental issues. These days, she’s relaxed, avoids the chaos of puppy antics, and would much rather spend her time snuggled on a soft bed under a blanket. Ellie isn’t interested in toys and doesn’t chew things up—she appreciates tranquility and loves to nap where she can keep an eye on her person. She quietly follows her foster mom around, seeking comfort in company and curling up beside her at night. She is quiet, rarely barks, and smart—she learned to ring bells to ask to go outside. While she sometimes forgets, she always heads to the door when nature calls and is reliably house trained. Stairs help her get up on the couch or bed, which she figured out right away. She gets along well with cats and mature dogs who respect her need for peace, but isn’t keen on playful puppies. Ellie would do best in a calm home with someone around most of the time since being left alone makes her anxious, though she isn’t destructive. She shows her appreciation with exuberant greetings when you come home, but isn’t built for a noisy household with young kids—instead, she'd thrive with adults or teens who understand her pace. She’s an easy dog who simply wants to be close, get some gentle affection, and be part of a quiet family. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
