About Indy

Aiden and Indy are two siblings that found themselves alone on the streets of South Texas. They were part of a pack of dogs living near a construction site who were being intentionally ran over, poisoned and shot at. Their rescuer told the local street feeder to pick them up and they were then transported close to Dallas/Forth Worth where they've been in boarding in Denton, Texas since February 5th. They get out a couple of times a day to run, play and potty. They are about 6-7 months old now and look like Great Pyrenees mixed with German Shepherd and probably some more- lots of fluffy hair. They are very normal, happy, playful pups who love the staff. They haven't been walked on leash or exposed to kids and cats. Sadly the employees at the kennel do not offer training. Can we say clean slate? Aiden and Indy will need committed adopters or fosters willing to potentially start from scratch with training for these boys- they may have never been in a home; but they deserve one. Aiden and Indy are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and fixed. Aiden and Indy are still in boarding in Denton, Texas, waiting on a committed adopter or foster to give these boys a chance at the life every dog deserves- in a warm, safe home with a lot of love (and a lot of toys and treats please- the boys asked me to say that). Won't you give them that chance? Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio.
