This stunning 7-month-old Shepherd/German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix is a joyful bundle of energy, intelligence, and affection. Willow is a kisser and a total cuddlebug who enjoys running and having fun—she'd be the perfect companion for someone active who loves the outdoors. Highly food-motivated and eager to learn, Willow already knows commands like come, sit, down, scoot, paw, and spin, and she thrives on puzzle games and enrichment. She's quick to pick up new things with the right motivation! Willow will need both mental and physical stimulation to keep her happiest, and she's best suited to someone who enjoys training, hiking, or engaging with a smart, energetic dog. She can become overstimulated and will need reassurance and continued positive training to feel secure. Willow especially enjoys the company of other dogs with similar energy, thriving on play and social interaction, though she may do best with an adopter who understands shepherd-type dogs. Willow and her family were rescued from a tough start, left on the side of the road in San Antonio, but have since made their way to safety and are now in Denver, waiting for a forever home. Willow has not been exposed to cats, and though she hasn’t lived with kids, her foster believes she could be great with children. She loves to collect her toys and play with multiple at once. Willow prefers time to warm up and build confidence, but the reward is a loyal, playful companion who’ll brighten your days.
