About Charlie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Charlie is a special dog who came to the rescue after his family had to move and couldn’t bring him along. Having spent most of his life outdoors on five acres, Charlie is comfortable relaxing both inside and outside the home. He hasn’t experienced much of the world beyond his previous property, so he thrives best in a calm, quiet environment where he can settle in at his own pace. For Charlie, a home with older children is ideal, as he prefers people to respect his space and doesn’t enjoy close face-to-face interaction. He seems to have had a traumatic experience with leashes in the past, but with gentle patience and time, he’s learning to overcome his fears and trust more fully. Charlie is good with other dogs and tends to ignore cats, making him a harmonious companion with other pets. Not particularly athletic, he would love a relaxed, peaceful household where he can enjoy life with loyal humans. Once Charlie bonds with you, his sweet and loving side shines through, and he is sure to become a cherished family member. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Charlie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cattle Dog mixes are generally best suited for homes with access to both indoor comfort and outdoor space, as they enjoy having room to roam and relax. They thrive in quieter households where their needs for companionship and gentle activity are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cattle Dog mixes appreciate having a moderate to large outdoor area to explore, but they also adapt well to homes with smaller yards if given daily opportunities for walks and recreation.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Cattle Dog mixes can be a good fit for families with older, respectful children who understand boundaries and dog behavior. They may be less suited to homes with very young children if the dog prefers more personal space.
