About Cinnamon

Cinnamon – A Gentle Puppy Ready to Be Spoiled Quick Facts Age: 8 weeks old Gender: Male Breed: Lab mix Vaccinations: Up to date Spayed/Neutered: Will be completed when age appropriate Heartworm: Negative House Trained: Working on it Crate Trained: Yes Leash Trained: Learning Good With: Cats, dogs, and respectful children Cinnamon is one of nine puppies born after an unplanned neighborhood pairing between two dogs. Their mom’s owner lovingly cared for the entire litter from the start, but when a health situation made caring for nine growing puppies alone impossible, the responsible decision was made to ensure each puppy could find a committed forever home. Cinnamon is a truly sweet, gentle boy with a soft presence. He doesn’t demand attention, but he deeply enjoys it, soaking up affection and reassurance whenever it’s offered. He is the kind of puppy who is happiest being close to his people, quietly content just knowing he’s included. Cinnamon has an easygoing nature and a loving heart that makes him incredibly endearing. When the puppies first came into foster care, they had been on cedar bedding, which caused some temporary skin irritation that may still be visible in a few photos. There is no long-term impact, and their skin and coats are already healing beautifully. Cinnamon is off to a great start with his puppy basics. He is crate trained, learning leash skills, and working on house training with consistency and routine. He does well living with cats, dogs, and respectful children and would make a wonderful addition to a family ready to guide a puppy through all stages of growth. If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know I’m just a super sweet boy looking for a home with someone who wants to spoil me rotten. I don’t ask for much — just lots of love, patience while I learn, and a place where I can feel safe and cherished. I promise to grow into a loyal, loving companion who will be grateful for every bit of kindness you give me. Important Adoption Information and Next Steps: All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are: Spayed or neutered Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations Microchipped prior to adoption Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate). Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment. We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County. To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org and complete our adoption application. After Submitting Your Application: Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed. For Pets Already in the Home: Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe. Keep in Mind: We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient — but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
