About Karma
Karma came to us with 2 other pups from a supposed "oops litter". Her siblings have since been placed, she remains. Karma has been around dogs and cats and gets along with all of them. She has anxiety, believed genetic as the mother of the litter was very anxious (24/7). Karma may have also had been exposed to some type of abuse as she does coward to the ground or ball up with loud voices and when working with hand signals she flinches. We have NOT had any aggression out of her. We have been tackling housebreaking for several months. She will hold it when outside and she is terrified to be outside at night. She can come in and be tethered to her foster parent's hip to help work on her skills of housebreaking and she will be good the whole time and never go potty outside but as soon as she is put in her crate for bedtime or if her foster parent has to leave, she will relieve her self in the crate. We have gotten her over the "scared pee" or "excited peeing" thing we just haven't been able to get her housebroken. She is going in again to vet (3/10/26) to eliminate, again, medical reasons and possibly to be put on a anxiety med, for short term to help train her because she is so nervous. We do not know what happened to her prior to arriving to our group. Since surrender, the previous owner has not responded to any questions to help us with Karma. Please do not think Karma is a lost cause, she has made achievements since coming beginning of November 2025, but she still has work to be done. We have vaccinated her, tested her for Parvo, Distemper, Coccidia and started her in Heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She is chipped and will be spayed in April. She is not a big dog, 40#-45#. She isn't expected to be more than 50# when grown. We hoped she would snap out of her behaviors so maybe be taught skills for service but she is not a candidate for such training. Karma is just a pet and companion girl. If you wish to learn more about her or would like to set up a meet and greet, please contact the foster parent via text or call at (218)640-1930. Responding to this post or emails do not get answered as quickly as call/text do. The foster parent will handle all aspects of the adoption process.
