About Dax
Dax’s past hasn’t been simple, but he hasn’t lost his bounce. He originally came to the rescue as a puppy, was adopted, and later found running highways before landing at the MV shelter. When tracked down, his past owner made it clear she wasn’t coming back. Despite that, Dax holds onto his sweetness. He’s an affectionate, playful German Shepherd mix, about two and a half years old, neutered, and tipping into the large category. Dax has a clean kennel habit and appreciates good company—he’s friendly with dogs, does okay with cats, and enjoys being around children. Expect energy: Dax thrives with an active family and open space to run. He’s a big eater, enthusiastic to please, and famously bouncy—apparently this dog can leap straight up like he’s training for the high jump, clearing three to four feet with ease. He’ll benefit from leash work and consistent training, but he’s eager and ready to learn. Dax would do best with a family that wants a dog to join their everyday adventures.
