About Norwood

Norwood is a lively, 63-pound Shepherd/Boxer/Malinois mix—though that’s just our best guess since he first arrived at the shelter as a stray and hasn't had a DNA test. At three years old, this short-coated, neutered, vaccinated male is full of puppyish energy and personality. Norwood's foster mom (a dog trainer) has put in lots of work with him, but he still needs someone dedicated to continuing his training, especially to finish up his house training. He’s been good with other dogs if introduced properly and does great with kids. True to his shepherd roots, he’s loyal and has a protective streak, making him well suited for an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, possibly even farm life where he can be both a goofball and a watchdog. He’s never met a cat, so that part remains a mystery. Norwood loves people, sticks close, and doesn’t roam. He’s not staying at the adoption center—he’s in a private home—so meeting him means submitting an application first. Give this good dog the stable home he’s been missing. Your new best friend is just one click away.
