About Fern Green
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Fern Green's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Fern Green, an approx. 8-9-week-old Yellow Lab / Hound mix, weighing around 6-10 pounds (as of 2/27/26). This affectionate boy hails from Tennessee with the rest of his GREEN litter. Their beginnings were "ruff" to say the least! They were pulled from a 60+ hound hoarding case in Georgia. These pups aren't deterred though. They're looking forward to a new, less crowded home with lots of love from you! Fern is the embodiment of your favorite childhood rockstar! Adorable, full of energy, and people will "ooh" and "aah" whenever he's around. This friendly boy is a beauty and he knows it. Get ready to strut your stuff on the sidewalk with Fern by your side. When he's not showing off his gorgeous coat to friends and family, you can find him playing, cuddling or sniffing out the weird smell in your house. Maybe it's a mouse. Maybe it's a ghost. Whatever it is, Fern will find out! The Green litter is so popular, they get along with strangers, dogs, and kiddos! They haven't experienced the joys of meeting a feline friend but are open to seeing how that goes. Everyone will want to come visit to see them and they hope you happily oblige. They do tend to scarf their food very fast, but if you were hoarded, you probably would too. Since they're still puppies, the Greens will need help and patience from their fur-ever families when it comes to potty training (they're currently working on it), commands and leash training. They have experience with crates, but might bark and scratch at first to make sure it's up to their standards before they settle in. We love pups who know what they want!
