About Peanut
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Far from tiny, this long-legged fur kid is a pure delight! Peanut is a happy, rambunctious 65-lb boy between 1 and 2 years old who brings boundless energy to every moment. He adores people and other dogs, and is even comfortable around horses, goats, and pigs! Peanut’s favorite place is the great outdoors—it's where he’s most at ease and where his exuberant personality shines brightest. He is always ready for a walk or a car ride and enjoys every adventure, making him the perfect companion for active adults with a large fenced yard. With his friendly demeanor, Peanut could be a wonderful sibling for a resident dog as well. Though he’s had three weeks of formal training (with one future session included in his adoption), Peanut is a spark plug of enthusiasm and still displays some puppy-like habits like jumping and mouthing. He’ll thrive with owners willing to continue reinforcing his training and offer plenty of structure and routine. Peanut currently lives in a mix of indoor kennel and outdoor run, so he’ll need an initial adjustment period with limited indoor space before gradually expanding to more of his new home. He does best with boundaries and not with a crate, alongside consistent routines and exercise. Please note, Peanut requires an adopter with large-dog experience and isn't suited for homes with young children or cats/small animals. Savvy teens are okay! Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
