About Kiowa
Kiowa has been waiting for over four years to find her forever home and is hoping to finally meet the right match. This 9-year-old, approximately 80 lb Malamute/Husky mix is bright, playful, and sweet-natured. Kiowa thrives with an active family and is happiest after a good play session or adventure—she makes an excellent buddy for outdoor excursions but knows how to settle down and relax indoors afterward. You’ll find she’s friendly and affectionate with people, always ready with a tail wag. There are a few important requirements for her adopters. Kiowa needs a securely fenced yard (at least 6 feet tall) in a free-standing home outside of city limits—she is not available for adoption in King County. Her future people should be experienced with her breeds, able to handle her strong personality, and should have no cats or small animals, as Kiowa cannot safely live with them. While she can be dominant with other female dogs, she gets along with male dogs of similar size and would do best with such a companion. Kiowa is not fully house trained, but her eagerness to please makes her a good candidate for continued learning. She’s spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines.
