About Lemon

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Lemon is a 4-year-old domestic short hair tabby who came to the shelter after being found injured and alone under a truck. When she arrived, Lemon was dragging her back legs, but with lots of rest and dedicated care, her mobility has improved remarkably—she now sits, stands, and walks just like any other cat. Initially, Lemon was a very private girl and spent her days curled up in her cozy cat cave, venturing out noticeably more in the quieter moments of the day. She took time to warm up, especially when unfamiliar faces were around, but her confidence and courage have grown steadily in foster care. Lemon is now more comfortable around her caregivers, and her fantastic purr and love of gentle petting show just how endearing she can be. With patience, she will surely continue to blossom in a loving home. Her adoption fee helps cover her spay, up-to-date vaccinations, worming, monthly flea and heartworm preventive, FIV/FeLV tests, microchip, and all the care she has received at Clay County Humane Society. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
