Meet Ray Ray: Ray Ray is estimated to be about 4 years old (as of February 2026) and a petite Hound and maybe Jack Russel mix (best guess) that weighs 23 pounds. Ray Ray was found as a stray in Memphis and brought into an animal shelter. Ray Ray was a bit grumpy during his initial hours of shelter residency and also displayed a limp in one of his back legs. He was seen by a vet who determined the limp was due to a dislocated hip joint, but that was fortunately remedied by popping the joint back in place and he was able to avoid surgery. At this point, Ray Ray had developed a very affectionate, attentive personality with his foster and was able to stay there as opposed to going back to the shelter. Ray Ray is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Ray Ray is relatively laid back and beyond his puppy playfulness. Ray Ray enjoys sitting in a lap while Netflix is playing and sleeps beside his foster at night. Ray Ray gets along with other dogs in a multi-dog household and walks well on a leash. Ray Ray is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Ray Ray to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. Ray Ray is up to date on his shots and neutered.
