About Jake Wagging His
Hi there! My name is Jake, and I’m told I’m a very handsome Coonhound. I’m about 1-2 years old, which means I’m past that tiny puppy stage but still have plenty of "let's go!" in my step. I haven't always had it easy. When I was rescued back in November, I was really skinny—only 34 pounds. But thanks to some great meals and a lot of TLC, I’m now a whopping 62 pounds of pure love and excitement! I’m healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, and I even tackled heartworm treatment like a total champ. I'm feeling better than ever and ready for my next chapter. Why I’m the Best Boy: * Your Personal Trainer: If you want to get your steps in, I’m your guy! I love long walks and I'm a total pro on a leash. * Co-Pilot Ready: I ride like a dream in the car. Whether it's a trip to the park or a coffee run, I’m ready to ride shotgun. * Social Butterfly: I get along great with other dogs! I’m also very curious about cats (they’re just so interesting, right?). * Good Student: I’m working hard on my potty training and crate training, and I’m doing really well. What I’m Looking For: I had a rough start to life, but I don’t let that get me down. I’m looking for a family who will give me all the ear scratches and belly rubs I missed out on before. I have a lot of love to give, and I just need a couch (and a heart) to call my own. Jake’s Stats: * Breed: Coonhound * Weight: 62 lbs (and proud of it!) * Personality: Energetic, loving, and resilient. Do you have room in your heart for a resilient boy like me? I promise to make every day an adventure! Apply Today: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTORoCzcVe8_f4NnKCiQIGyVDOFXX108Oyt3T-U_rIfaxj0g/viewform Adoption cost $620w. Adoption details: In some instances, a meet and greet is not possible before adoption unless we have a foster home in New England available. Available for a Meeting confirms the dog is in a NE Foster home and available for a meeting in the city state provided. Most times our dogs get adopted before a foster home becomes available - and if so, they go straight to the adopters home. Foster parents talk to adopters and feel confident that this will be a match before our dogs are transported up. Also if by some chance it is not a match we have a safety net in place as we ask that adopters to let us know that it is not a match and we direct you to take the dog to a foster home or boarding kennel once that is arranged. If necessary, we will ask you to foster the dog until a foster home can be arranged.
