About Thor
Meet our sweet-as-can-be little gentleman named Thor At 7–8 years young, Thor has perfected the art of melting hearts. Through no fault of his own, he found his way to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him properly. Even with his world turned upside down, he’s remained nothing but gentle, loving, and hopeful. He’s the kind of boy who greets you with soft eyes and a wagging tail, as if he’s been waiting his whole life just for you. Calm, affectionate, and wonderfully well-mannered, he enjoys cozy naps, leisurely strolls, and being close to his favorite humans. He doesn’t ask for much—just a warm spot to rest, a few kind words, and a family to call his own. The moment you meet Thor, you’ll see it—that quiet devotion, that sweet soul, that instant connection. He has so much love left to give and is ready to spend his golden years showering his forever family with loyalty and cuddles. Trust us... you’ll fall in love the second you meet him. We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support.
