When we were rescued, we were in bad condition and battling ehrlichia. We didn't feel good physically - and we were terrified emotionally. People were scary to me at first. I didn't understand that hands could be gentle or that voices could be soft and kind. It took a long while for me to feel comfortable enough to step forward instead of back. Healing wasn't just about medicine - it was about patience, quiet reassurance, and learning to trust. But I did it. With time, care, and so much love, I've grown into a brave boy. I might still be a little shy when we first meet, but once I realize you're safe, my sweet and loyal heart comes shining through. I've discovered that pets feel nice, treats are pretty amazing, and being close to someone you trust is the best feeling in the world. At 1 year old, I'm young, resilient, and ready to start my real life. I would thrive with a patient family who understands that trust is built gently. Once I give you my heart, it's yours forever.
